This free women’s sewing pattern is my current fave: the perfect dress for sleeping, lounging or just about anything!

I’m so happy to be releasing another PDF sewing pattern after a long hiatus. Designing patterns is one of my absolute favorite jobs in the whole world, but it requires long, long hours, lots of late nights, a brain that functions and quiet. All things that are not easy to come by as a homeschooling mom of 8 kids.
Lucky for you, I decided to get back to designing by offering another FREE pattern! My free Alcoy dress has been super popular and so I couldn’t wait to have another one to give away. When I made this nightgown after having Alice earlier this year, I wanted to make one for everyone I knew…but since that wasn’t possible, I decided to create a full PDF pattern so everyone could enjoy this amazingly comfy throw-on dress.
The Mara Lounge Dress is a simple knit dress silhouette with dolman sleeves, midi length hem and pockets! It also includes pattern pieces and instructions for an optional snap placket in the front to make it nursing friendly. I have made this dress multiple times as a gift for pregnant friends it’s the BEST things to lounge around in for those first few postpartum weeks (or months).
