The wrap style is right on trend: sew your own wrap top with this easy peasy sewing refashion t-shirt tutorial.
All you need is two T-shirts and a couple of seams and you’ll be sporting your new wrap t-shirt in no time!
Hey all! I’ve been hard at work on some more videos recently and am excited to show you today’s DIY: a wrap T-shirt refashion with ties at the waist. It’s cute, easy to wear and a super flattering waist-whittling silhouette. It’s also beginner friendly since it starts with two ready-to-wear T-shirts!
I’m loving all the waist-whittling tee shirts, blouses and dresses these days and cannot wait to make more! Plus it’s always more fun to refashion clothes from something you found on clearance, at the thrift store or unused in the back of your closet! If you make one from store-bought T-shirts like I did here, it will take you almost no time at all. The key is to make sure you have a big enough shirt to give you all the fabric needed for ties, although after wearing mine a couple times, I did trim off some of my ties since they were plenty long. It all depends on how many times you like to wrap!
This wrap tee is perfect for topping some slim cropped pants like I did here, a pencil skirt or jeans! I just like to keep my bottom silhouette minimal and streamlined since this wrap T-shirt has so much going on up top. I’m usually more of a sewing-from-scratch kind of girl, but let me know if you’d like to see more refashion tutorials and I’d be happy to oblige! I also have a post for a really cute (and easy!) wrap skirt tutorial. Find that one HERE!
