Tie dye is back!!  I admit, I wasn’t sure I loved that idea when I first started seeing it in stores but now I’m hooked.  Just like the floral trend, I think you have to be choosy about which colors and patterns to pick but overall, FUN, right?

For this dress I used Love Notions’ Bluezette Dress pattern which is awwwwesome.  So many options for a quick, comfy knit dress or top.  I love all the choices! Short or elbow sleeves, high-low or tulip or maxi or circle skirt and a blousy or fitted bodice.  I’ve got about a million ideas swirling for my next couple creations.  I really like the look of the blousy bodice option that I used here but I think it’s less flattering on my post-baby body than the fitted option would be.  Oh well, comfort wins on this one.

This fabric was another from one of Girl Charlee’s Knit fix bags (September’s bags are still available!).  I actually didn’t get this fabric myself but bought it from someone else on the knit fix FB page.  It’s a dangerously addicting hobby.

I really like the binding that the Bluezette pattern calls for.  I’m slowly getting better at the finishing touches on my knitwear and necklines can be frustrating if you’re impatient…ummm, not that I know anything about that.

I also may have temporarily forgot about the nursing of the baby situation in my excitement to whip this sucker up.  Luckily the neckline is low enough and stretchy enough to pull down when needed.  Ta-da!  A pull-over-and-go-outfit WIN.
